As Maya and Mucho walked
down the path into town, a squirrel
ran across the path. Mucho thought, what a fun chase, and went running after the squirrel.
   Maya called after Mucho, telling him not to run, but it was too late. Mucho forgot all about the job he had of carrying the necklaces into town, and chased as fast as he could run on his short piggy legs.
   Suddenly, the bag around Mucho's neck came loose and the necklaces went flying everywhere. The beads spilled across the ground, rolling everywhere. The special necklace for the king to buy was scattered all over the path.
