Young Children Heavy Users of Media and Computers, Says Study
A report by the Kaiser Family Foundation found that 26 percent of American children ages 2-7 use a computer during a typical day, and 62 percent of them have a computer in the home. The November 1999 study, entitled "Kids & Media @ The New Millennium," also looks at how much oversight parents exert over their children's media use, and whether new media is replacing traditional media use in the lives of kids.
